open casketA Poem by cricket
I wonder in my eulogy
Who will I be? Will they cut off the shameful parts With child-proof scissors? Stuff them away, Scatter them amongst the skeletons that once lived in my closet- Present a funeral service for not even half of a man? Or will they make me a martyr- Tell the story of my obsessions, My addictions, In a somber tone “too late for him, but not for you” a cautionary tale instead of my own story © 2022 cricketAuthor's Note
