There's songs I still can't hear

There's songs I still can't hear

A Poem by ivy

I dreamed about you, you know.
The first time in a year.
Since that day spent underwater, ice grown over, since they lowered your urn into the ground and I never got to see you again.

It caught me off guard, threw me behind.
I didn't expect to hear your voice ever again in my life.
I got to hug you, and you didn't see, how I ran up there instead of a goodbye.

Neither of us understood it in my dream. Why you were standing there, why I pulled you to me a little desperately.
It's the weight that lingers though, isn't it.
I woke up and you didn't.

the title hits deep into emotions which I dont want to explore anymore. The simple but deep lines that you have written here are so relatable, poignant and readable at the same time. Thank you for sharing.
