China DollA Poem by Bela
You moulded you sculpted,
Frustrated, your project Not taking shape. You used your words To try to bend me, Wished you could break me Like a chinese foot; In vain, my bones Wouldn’t be broken, I refused to be Your little china doll. Broke free of your delusions That tried to hold me down Like prison walls. Scraped through the gutter, Cut myself On the wire fence, I ran. © 2022 Bela |
