What makes this guy different?

What makes him seem real?

Why was it me he smiled at?

My heart he had to steal?

 

Because he says he won't forget me

Or because I know it's true?

Because he says he loves me

Or because I love him too?

 

Because he's brighter than the sun

With eyes deeper than the sea?

Because he knows my secrets

Or, moreover, he knows me?

 

Because these feelings that I have

Won't stay within my heart?
Because they have to break away

But never break apart?

 

These feelings aren't just puppy love.

Why can't everybody see

That although he isn't perfect,

He's the perfect one for me.
