The VoiceA Poem by JanRomantic poemI feel in love with a voice, once. A deep, earthy sounding voice. The voice painted a picture of a man; As the mind took over as an artist.
This man was a giant, Strong, large of bone and heart. With the softest of faces, To match the kind voice.
This voice was so sweet it could alter the taste of a bitter drink And so gentle that just the sound felt like a cloud whisking me away in its softness.
It wrapped its arms around me, holding, comforting me. So much so that I didn't want it to cease tickling and caressing my ears.
I never met the source of the voice. Yet today, I often dream of it. I wish it would come my way again And warm the lonely heart it left behind.
