Of Winter
Swirls in with
Blinding white snow
Stilling the atmosphere
Life is hushed
Quietly invited
To sleep for a season
It's calm frosty presence
Echoes over the land
Slowing the rush
Of the rest of the year
Gray fog of peace overcomes
Hibernating the hurried days
Chilly
Iced nose
Warm warm hearts
Snuggling inside
Around the hearth
Frosty stands sentry over the
House
Comfort and light for many
Leading to thankfulness
Watching the dark blue light
