I knew a man, afflicted with epilepsy,

he wasn't supposed to live to forty,

the physicians performed their magic

in a delicate fashion

now joy is the order of his day.

he is glad for the everyday

for cleaning and fixing the desks and mopping the floors

he considers it all joy.

another man was homeless,

living on the side of a hill

with a friend.

he had a job but struggled to keep warm and fed all day.

someone gave him a hand up

into a small room downtown in the city.

they laugh at life and keep going forward.

beautify their lives.
