Tiger Thought

Tiger Thought

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster

Four pinkish walls cry out
For all those trapped within
With insufferable drought,
Densely populated;
Confined for their great sin,
Much spoke understated.

Whilst from the window shout
A tiger with a grin
And flesh amongst his snout,
Boasting liberated
Of the medicine men
Mutually hated.

Unionizing takes hold,
Tearing down the pink walls’ hold;
Enraged and all about
As the tiger cries out.
