Une Femme Parfaite

Une Femme Parfaite

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster

Une Femme Parfaite

I don't want some pretty face

With faithful eyes or  warm thighs

To make home with me in this place

Where my love is just a surmise.

I don't want to hear empty words

Of white lies or nobility

Splitting moments into thirds

For docility or civility.

I don't want somebody at night

Just to have lay beside me

For some company less quiet

With some kind of guarantee.

If I look for a lover abroad,

I just want a smart, loud mouth broad.
