The StickA Poem by Jay SteitlerMy eternal fatiguing relationship with the world of medicos.Today is the day. Anticipation chills my spine, and creeps along my torso. Auras, antiseptic insult my arrival. PTSD dreams...Vampires in white do their dance. Simple rubber bands to slowly squeeze the life from me. The stick, like a stainless arachnid, piercing flesh. Inspiring OBE. Sanguine liquid through crystal. 45 on, and I die a little every time.
