Thank You

You found me in a very dark place,

sitting on a bench,

sadness on my face.

I felt so bad and I wanted to run,

So many bad things that I have done.

But you looked at me and then you smiled,

"I haven't seen you in quite a while."

You helped me up and back on my feet,

taught me to dance in rhythm to the beat.

We went to eat after we sang and danced,

realized it's been 5 years and laughed. 

You asked me why earlier I was sad.

I opened up to you and now I'm glad.

You can relate and you understand.

You helped me realize who I truly am.

Now that we met, we want to hang out more,

I never felt so close to someone like you before.

You are the one that brought me out of the blue,

and I would like to say Thank You.

I haven't been writing for a while because I have been in some very difficult situations. But now I am out of those situations thanks to the person I wrote this about, my cousin. Thank you so much

Jay, this is a very heartwarming piece!

So simple but full of such emotion, and tenderness.

Jay you really have a lot of talent with your words, and this is coming from me not as a friend, but as a fellow writer.

Now for the friend that you have in me.
I really wish that were able to come to me with things like this, but I understand if you feel like you can't. Sometimes there are things we just don't feel comfortable with telling our friends, but do tell others, such as a family member.

I'm happy that you are ok now, and you should know that I am always here for you, online and in real life.
