Sicknesses are do devastating for the patient who is awaiting the moment that he/she knows is inevitably coming and the loved ones who are watching helplessly as their loved one slips away.

this is so sad...and creative in the way you expressed the gravity of what this disease does...how it just eats away...like in "the sick rose" by blake....
