A ZERO SUM GAME

death is a zero sum game,
when one creature dies
another is born...
disease is a zero sum game,
find a cure for one debilitating sickness
and another pops up from the primordial ooze...
civilization is a zero sum game,
end one social structure
and another will be built...
life is a simple zero sum game...
the birth of each new form
spilling into the death of another,
a zero sum game
played out on the board of time...
