DUST'S MIST

it is 3 in the morning
and thin are the veils,
dust whisper creatures
wander dark misty trails...

it is 3 in the morning
and everyone is alone,
dust spider creations
wrapped in loneliness, moan...

it is 3 in the morning
and the veils have grown thin,
dust born dreamers
walk in crepe web skin...

it is 3 in the morning
and i am alone,
while dust whisper creatures
chill me, to the bone...

it is 3 in the morning
and the veils are so frail,
dust dreams are forming
in a blind man’s braille...

it is 3 in the morning
and so thin are the veils
the dust devil storming
my broken soul impales...

The things that go on at 3 in the morning, huh. Favorite line: dust dreams are forming in a blind man’s braille...

I know myself, the mind goes into overdrive at those times of the evening if we can't sleep. I see this as very deep under the surface with a psychological-type concept between the lines.

thank you...this comes in part from the belief that the veils between planes of existence are thinner at that time of night...a good time for spirits to visit...

This gave me chills.. that repetition of 3 am did wonders keeping the magic going through the poem.
I like the mystical world painted through this poem.. I will be sure to be asleep ever 3 am :D

3am is the time when the veils between planes of existence are the thinnest according to mystic beliefs...it is the hour when spirits can cross over easily to visit home again...but fear not, they usually want nothing more than to say hello again to what was left behind...
