COLUMBARIUM MIND

COLUMBARIUM MIND

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

COLUMBARIUM MIND

troubled by complexity,
we seek to construct
a private columbarium
in our mind...
with proper niches,
into which, we sort,
and
carefully arrange
each uncomfortable image,
every action that disturbs our peace...
today,
i shall enter my own columbarium,
my private dovecote
and
smash every urn,
set my captives free
to sail as they will...

Sounds like a beautiful release of the past. Learn and burn every ashful urn, become lighter every day.

i think they will sail as they will anyway without our permission, not sure that life can be compartmentalized----but we do wish we could.

those disturbances in our mind...just keep happening.

really like this one.
