parents can do this to us...make us feel so insecure about ourselves.

i remember being told by mine once, "how do you have any friends being the way you are?"

many years ago...she made up for that statement over the years...but sometimes people speak without thinking...and have no idea how much words can be penetrating bullets to kill our self-esteem.
