sylviabones

A Poem by J. DeVine
"

2009

"
grandmother share with me
flowery opiate wisdom now
you don't know my name

i'll kiss your skeleton keys
and promise not to cry

your love is gone and
the light blue
dollhouse you built through
some anonymous sickness
lies shattered in my attic

the tiny red bricks you glued
on with tweezers and swabs
dot the hot dusty floor
and pink fiberglass clouds

i'll kiss your skeleton keys
and promise not to cry
