Sweet SerenityA Poem by Riley BraySomething when there's nothing, wondrous understandings of life.In one fairy tale, Truly blue waves rise up slowly from itself,Molding into an elegant curve Tipped white with froth And lapping gracefully onto the grainy sand. In another, Leaves rustle delicately As the wings of a hummingbird flutter, With other birds calling out to each other, And beautiful blooms release golden pollen into the air. In one more, You sit quietly, Curled up in a ball with a blanket on top of you, As melodic lyrics float through your mind, And an equally surreal book rests in your hands. The sounds of serenity, While they vary, They are real when nothing else can be.
