Sweet Serenity

Sweet Serenity

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

Something when there's nothing, wondrous understandings of life.

"
In one fairy tale,
Truly blue waves rise up slowly from itself,
Molding into an elegant curve
Tipped white with froth
And lapping gracefully onto the grainy sand.

In another,
Leaves rustle delicately
As the wings of a hummingbird flutter,
With other birds calling out to each other,
And beautiful blooms release golden pollen into the air.

In one more,
You sit quietly,
Curled up in a ball with a blanket on top of you,
As melodic lyrics float through your mind,
And an equally surreal book rests in your hands.

The sounds of serenity,
While they vary,
They are real when nothing else can be.

This is beautiful, as I was reading I imagined each line in my head. Ever so peaceful and highlights the sweeter side of life. Keep up the good work! :)

Thank you for the praise and review!
A wonderful, thought provoking journey into the world of escapism. The last stanza is a situation I am certain everyone has been in at least once in their lives and is accurately and perfectly worded.
