FleetingA Poem by Riley BrayOh how thine empty stares amuse me.
I slowly fade...
As night turns to day... While my vision taints gray... In this blurry haze... While I die there... With my conscious thought gone somewhere... And open arms bare... Catching shadow glares. And I Am searching for something But I Am coming up with nothing So I Wait here nostalgically for anything. Days going by... With dents way up high... Where my mere safety lies... But no hope resides... So I sit here... Resolute, somewhat, yet with fear... Around me, my blood smeared... As crescents draw near. And I Am searching for something But I Am coming up with nothing So I Wait here nostalgically for anything. Woah, why is this foamy breeze Fleeing from me? Woah, why are these thoughts of mine So empty, forgotten, declined? Woah, I search but I don't know, From here, which direction do I go? And I Am searching for something But I Am coming up with nothing So I Wait here nostalgically for anything, Provided its not fleeting.
