A Poem by Riley Bray
"

I'm still trying to mend something that was lost a long time ago...

"
I never thought you'd let me drown
Never thought you'd let me down.
But I realize now amidst this mess
That I was wrong, a pawn at best.

Through all the tears we cried
And murmured lies.
Through mindless nights
And sad goodbyes.

Through changing hearts
And horrible art.
Through friendship darts
And daunting smarts.

The time ticked on
Those days are gone
The ugly ducklings are now beautiful swans
But I'm standing alone, watching the dawn.

Oh how I long for the days,
That we were one.
