I enter a state
Of lucidity,
Scribbling personal words
On a writers notepad
As I await freedom
From the prison cell
That is my classroom.

What words shall
I speak today?
What shall I claim?
What shall I write
Here in this tired book
That aims to be legend?

We're suspended in
A writers world,
Tasting the luxury
OF recognition
Before the path runs cold....
Before our dream
Gets old.
