DigressionA Poem by Riley Bray~~The otherist nation~~
Living in between the
Tall brick walls Are sufferable b******s Whose lies are kept locked in By the cement between the brick. Three eyed, Two faced addicts Occupy one soul; The soul of the people- My people- whose proper lives taint with their evil. So too are my mental absences As I reek of vengeance and rage, Popping pills, So to speak, Labeled (my ever beloved) "poetry." I'm addicted to the taste of rebellion And the heat in my veins as my heart beats faster, Fanning my flame as my voice gets drier from the words Spilling out like the ire in Macbeth and as I reach my high The oppressors ugly, hollow voices die. I too am a soldier standing proud among my brethren Inky hands like bloody fists As I outrage the controlling keepers By my mind, and my soul, and my heart with my hate As I amount to just another dirtied being that fails to properly assimilate.
