Death

Death

A Poem by Norma J. Jessee

Dark and cold

Is the sting of death.

Clinging and chilling,

Until the last breath.

Like a sweet rose,

Gently touched with dew,

When the soft petals fall;

Only God can renew.

Thank you for this lovely poem. Well written. I've written many poems about my son's death and I tend to look on the gloomy side but this one give a sense of peace, beauty and hope. Thank you for sharing. Debileah

Beautiful, just beautiful! So true, yet when you are faced with it you don't think like this...I wish! You're angry at God, then after a while you are forced to lean on him...heavily... and you're on the way to healing....
