Just a memory

I miss you.

I wonder where all of the happiness went.

I remember feeling so alive when we would

take those long, adventurous drives to nowhere

with the music blaring and the windows rolled down.

 

We ended so quickly that I didn’t even have time to think.

It still feels like I got the wind knocked out of me

and I’m still trying to catch my breath.

 

It hurts

Because all we have left are memories.

I remember you use to mean the world

to me…..

 

Now you’re just a memory…..
