Maybe I am as Loyal as the Ocean to the Sand

Maybe I am as Loyal as the Ocean to the Sand

A Poem by Jenna R Bryant

Maybe I am as loyal as the ocean to the sand,

Who blankets the shore each and every night;

Lap, lap kissing the beach forever grand.

I might be as predictable as unruly quicksand,

Pulling you down, mocking your failed flight;

Maybe I am as loyal as the ocean to the sand,

I’m probably as stable as the land,

Beneath you, knowing I am a remaining sight;

Lap, lap kissing the beach forever grand.

Perhaps I’m the fallen breeze at your command,

Your fathoming concern for adventurous excite;

Maybe I am as loyal as the ocean to the sand,

Could I be the same safety as found inland,

Comfort in my porpoise beacon light;

Lap, lap kissing the beach forever grand.

I am the forevermore reaching hand,

My gracious smile acts to Invite;

Maybe I am as loyal as the ocean to the sand,

Lap, lap kissing the beach forever grand.

I very much like the formatting you used in this piece. Three lines and going back to the last. I will definitely be reading more of your work.
