horror.

horror.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

just now
i took my last gulp of tea
contained within
a single moth,
having reenacted
the death of the dodo

i can still feel
the papery wing
disintegrating like wet newsprint
against the back of my teeth
even though i've brushed them twice

perhaps i should make it
three
third time's the charm
after all

That would indeed be horror. I am very squeamish about what goes into my mouth.
