yesterday
i stumbled 
slipped back into
thought patterns i
believed long vanquished

tricked back into our world

of quiet breathings and

pregnant pauses of type

so much need never be explained

i thought

some days
i miss that naive girl
and wish i'd thought
to hold her more often
than i let her leap into the breach

I have the feeling you ponder over details of script and measure that I can barely fathom. I think your strength as I see it in this piece is definately a delicate minimalism. The 2nd stanza is my favorite, more over for the line 'pregnant pauses of type' - it's very evocative in how we experience language.

Thats a leap that has to be taken anyway.....we don't get moments back, but they sure as hell form our very existence with their carefully planned lessons and thier"it will better for you in the long run" attitudes. This was super grounded writing, very honest and very gentle. Great job.
