In the Key of K

In the Key of K

A Poem by Jeff

One night, a solitude voice called out in the night air

Only to be heard by the nightingale,

perched above the dark world below.

The nightingale tilted his head to the side

Listening to this melancholy song, unlike his own.

Sadden by what he heard

He warbled out a lullaby to soothe her somber sighs

But she could not hear him over her cascading tears and cries.

Oh how bereaved the poor bird became,

Only wanting to hear a blessed tune once again.

It is very sad but enjoyable and great with the imagery. It reminds me of so many things I can not wait to read more of your writings.
