Altariel

Altariel

A Poem by Jeff
"

Inspired by Lord of the Rings and many Romantic Era poets...

"

In the thick, dark everglades

Deep within Gaia’s realm

Lies Her.

Clad with a beauty of Helen

I long for her.

She is but the golden ash

That flies from a fire

Surrounded by the dark.

Her life controlled only by the

Wisp of the wind.

She flies up to the stars

Where the great goddesses

Like herself

Once roamed the land.

I long for my La Belle.

One gently kiss

Of the fairy child’s lips.

If I only knew

If this place to be true.

She hides Her from me.

I hate her so.

If she were to only remain

In my dreams

I would sleep all day.

To see her fluorescent face

Interrupted by two perfect stones.

Sparkle.

I long to be with her.

I loved the imagery that you used to describe the scenes, especially the "fluorescent face interrupted by two perfect stones" line. Nice work!
