MemoriesA Poem by Jessica
There lies beneath my sheets
An emptiness that engulfs Every inch of my rationality, In which every idea And memory erupt simultaneously, Making my tear ducts burn With fury and defeat, Leaving scars along Each valley and trench Found on my cheeks. Leaving remains of ashes On my fingertips that vigorously Fire back and forth To obscure a path Between my glistening Eyes and my face. But to no avail, the fire Of the memories claims victory. Slowly it takes over Until there is no color Left but a dark charcoal And the remains of all I used to be. © 2013 JessicaFeatured Review
