I'm Sorry You're Unhappy

I'm Sorry You're Unhappy

A Story by jessfoundwonder

F**k these "letters" are getting out of hand,

It's like I fell right into that dream I'd laid out.

It had been alrtered some, as all dreams are, but you were there with me. Together.

We laughed and you sparked something in me.

I remember why I used to be in love with you. And why I still love you deep down.

But, five hour phone calls can happen in an instant.

When you took my hand again, I knew it all was wrong.

You love her, you do. And I'm sorry.

I'm sorry it's not me you love, but more than that, I know what it's like.

She's to you what you're to me.

And I know it's like walking under water.

You can barely move, barely think. It's hard to hear, so you stop listening.

To all the advice they throw your way.

Smiles seem quiet the concerned sounds, so you paint one on your face where your mouth is.

But don't forget, I once felt that way. I know all there is about you.

I can tell, I can read your soul even when you're dead quiet.

So here, I know it's advice you don't want, but you do need it.

She's an incredible girl to you, but she's not the only one.

Let her fly because she needs to, and you need her to.

Pining and begging won't fix your heart.

I learned that the hard way.

Love all the ones who love you, and try to clear your eyes.

You'll see the world in color again before long.

Love & Sorrow,

Jess
