A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Fragile fingers turn the pages
I get so nervous in the dark
If you lie to me, lie slowly
It seems I like to play that part

The one that soaks into the pavement
Just like a whisper in the wind
I've never embraced loneliness
Where am I to begin?

But if you're real then I will doubt you
It's hard to fix what's not your fault
If my frustrations hurt you
Then we were never meant to fall

Somebody wrote a song that said
That without the pain, love won't exist
It's profound and depressing, what are we missing?
We're wired to keep letting love in
