I really like this. It starts off haiku, but very quickly turns into a love poem. Yet, if you're not a fan of coffee rings on the table, you could be glad he's gone...or something. I get myself all tangled sometimes. :)

there's a lot said in this haiku...the coffee rings carry a lot of symbolism and open up the mind to a spectrum of emotions...very cool haiku, Jesse

A lovely piece, Jesse. Absence and heartache in precious few words.

Hell, I think it's good, but I don't know too much about Haikus. ;)

I really like this... structurally this is a well written haiku, but emotionally this is an amazing poem. Does that make any sense? LOL... I guess what I'm trying to say is that you've taken a very confiding style of poetry and still managed to make it have great imagery and real emotion.

Simple, Beautiful, and Sad...

Good job. I enjoyed reading it.

...My my...I don't think I like coffee anymore...although this does make much, much sense. And with Haiku it is hard to manage no? Good luck Miss Hayes. Keep up this amazing writing.
