shoes of the soul

You left footprints in my soul

so I'd know where to go

when I need to follow you

inside my diamond shoes

I wear them now and then

when I am my own best friend

I can fill them as I grow

into a richer soul

what fantastic lines ... love that!! it can be an arduous adventure in coming to accept and actually love ourselves ..but without it ..we can never love someone else fully ..great little poem for me this morning ..makes me smile and blesses me soul

Ha, I was in a bar a few weeks ago and the bartender told me the best way to meet women is to compliment their shoes. Nice shoes Jesse. :) Ok enough kidding. There is a deep meaning in this short little poem that does speak to the soul. Each day we do grow and learn and see and feel. But I also see the guidnace portion of your poem, the footprints to follow as an additional meaning. Having someone's lead to follow is sometimes as important as making our own way. All around this piece is stellar.
