Urgency

Urgency

A Poem by Jessica Jean

There's an urgency to see you
And an urgency to touch
A silent screaming of my being
Aching for your being so much

There's a certain way I miss you
When you've gone as long as this
It's so desperate, so pathetic
I'm jumping bridges for a kiss

Climbing mountains for your eyes
Slaying beasts to see your smile
Always dying, always trying
Just to see you for a while

And it elevates at night
I become an awful sight
I'm the beast, to say the least
Tearing my soul 'til morning light

Lovely rhyming, very gothic feeling ... my favorite line:
"there's a certain way I miss you". Keep it up!

i like the natural style of rhyme...doesn't feel forced..

really like "i'm jumping bridges for a kiss"

i remember so many big bridges in NY...as i was a child there...moved when i was nine...

The brooklyn, the george washington..others..

some fond memories for me became blended into the reading of this.

I especially love the third stanza..."climbing mountains for your eyes..."

that is a keeper.
