Rakhi PournamiA Chapter by JessyJacob
My brother, born on September 5, 1989. He was so cute, never cry and adorable. We all four siblings studied in one school. It was almost 10 yrs we had of age difference. So he was in LKG when I was in 9th class. I used to check him in interval time whether he is doing good and nobody is hurting him. We all go together and he never used to cry to go to school. He was good at studies and his friends used to like him for his nature. He is not that tall, 5 4” to 5 5”, my grand father’s genes of height though my dad was taller.
He never hurts any and always used to paly carroms, he used to love that game, my dad got him small carroms board, which he used to carry every time and get that out to play with us. I never scolded him because he never gave chance in doing wrong things. My neighbour uncles and aunties used to call him “Bheem”, for his chubby face and baby fat. I used to take him to hospital for shots or Tikkas, when my mother was sick. He used to be very heavy to carry him, because I was just 9 to 10 yrs old when he was 6 to 8 months. Now he is married with 3 kids and settled in Melbourne, Australia, whenever I feel missed due to any pain or trouble I just remind him, my tears never stop missing him. He was very smart in studies and got placed in campus at Infosys. We were proud of him and I miss him for this Rakhi pournami, to send Rakhi to him as it is approaching. I am thinking of buying nice gift to him along with Rakhi. © 2025 JessyJacob |
