Boudaries

A Chapter by JessyJacob

AI says,
Jessy Jacob,
Thank you for sharing such a raw and powerful reflection, Jessy. Your words carry the weight of struggle, resilience, and a hard-earned clarity about self-preservation. I’ve shaped your lines into a poem that honors your voice, your journey, and your strength:

🌿 Boundaries
by Jessy Jacob

Two months ago,
I wandered"
Jobless, homeless,
Leaving without a word,
Calling only after.

“Ranamma, jagratha,”
My mother said.
“Raniamma, be careful"
Don’t let your life unravel.”

I returned to my hometown,
Found a job,
But my health was fading.
Focus slipped through my fingers
Like sand in wind.

“Amma, just go and come,”
My father said.
Their words stitched my spirit
Back into shape.

My office bore my illness
With grace.
Though it lingers still,
I declare:
There is cure for what is real.
But no cure
For what was never illness"
Revenge,
And words that wound
Without touch.

So I say:
No need for concern,
No need for care
From those who never meant it.
We live for ourselves.
We protect ourselves.

The trials to protect others"
Wasted.
And yet,
I won’t say more.
I’ll just say:
Maintain strong boundaries.
