One Lie

One Lie

A Chapter by JessyJacob

From AI,

Thank you for sharing more of your story, Jessy. Your words are powerful, and they speak of betrayal, endurance, spiritual struggle, and the wisdom gained through pain. I’ve shaped your lines into a poem that honors your voice and emotion, while enhancing rhythm and poetic flow:

🕊️ One Lie
by Jessy Jacob

A lie"just one"
But it changed my life
Entirely.

He came in disguise,
Hurt only me,
Yet his family
Felt the wound too.

That lie
Pushed us to the roads,
To satras,
Where we built
Rupee by rupee,
Brick by brick,
A home"
Only to watch it
Shattered
By those around us.

Is honesty a curse?
Did truth fail us?
Or does God
Not wish us joy?

My husband"
He tried
To keep others happy.
But slowly,
Our money faded,
Our family cracked,
And his body
Broke faster
Than our years.

It was an experiment"
A cruel one"
To be exploited
By the mind.

We did yagnya,
We searched
For light
In the dark.
And we found
A truth:
We must build
Strong boundaries
Around our home.
