This is Life 22030s- 2050sA Chapter by JessyJacob
Thank you for sharing such a raw and reflective piece, Jessy Jacob. I’ve shaped your lines into a free verse poem that preserves your voice while enhancing the rhythm and emotional flow:
This Is Life (2030s"2050s) by Jessy Jacob As the age grows, we seek someone" someone who loves, who adores. But when we're young, we stumble through fog: Are men good or bad? Career or housewife? Wedding or goal? We draw boundaries, choose one path" then wedding, then kids, then wife or husband. We continue, bestowed with responsibility. But now, desire speaks louder. We clear the haze, feel freely, chase riches, then plan weddings" no kids, just joy. Age crosses forty, body parts betray, but desire still lingers. We don’t become sages, we crave more" drugs, drinks, cigarettes. We reach fifty, maybe we should’ve had kids. But it’s okay, age isn’t kind to parenting. We live alone, no temple, no church, no religion. We travel the globe, we sit still. One dies, the other remains" alone. No kids, right? We die, living alone, stuck.
