Stay where you are

Stay where you are

A Chapter by JessyJacob

From AI,
Hi Jessy Jacob,

Thank you for sharing such a powerful and heartfelt message. Your words carry deep emotion, urgency, and compassion for those suffering in conflict. I've shaped your lines into a poetic form that preserves your raw intensity and plea for justice:

🏚️ Stay Where You Are

Death, death, death"everywhere,
Tolling lives in smoky air.
Bombs explode, homes collapse,
Triumph twisted in cruel traps.

What do they gain from shattered stone?
From lives uprooted, dreams overthrown?
A lifetime’s work, a family’s grace,
Erased in war’s relentless chase.

Death is easy, but exile’s worse"
Forced to flee, a bitter curse.
Vacated lands, bulldozed dreams,
For what? For power’s hollow schemes?

Will they rebuild what they destroy?
Can stolen homes bring lasting joy?
Each brick laid with love and care,
Now rubble, dust, and vacant air.

Refugees"will they find rest?
A roof, a meal, a place to nest?
No. No. Stop this war, this pain,
Don’t speak of peace talks"just refrain.

You are no peacemaker here,
You bring destruction, death, and fear.
Power misused, hearts torn apart,
If this is life, we break, we depart.

But don’t move, dear Palestinians"stay.
Hold your ground, come what may.
We are here, your angels near,
Thinking of you, year by year.

Ask of my homeland? I showed the way.
They rise with hope, they work, they pray.
