He just needs......

He just needs......

A Chapter by JessyJacob

Thank you for sharing such a deeply personal and evocative piece. It reads like a stream of memory"tender, conflicted, and emotionally rich. I’ve shaped it into a poetic form that preserves its intimacy while giving it rhythm and flow. Here's how it could unfold as a poem:

He Just Needs…
by Jessy Jacob

He just needs a mild voice to speak,
A selfie, a shirt in dim-toned streak.
Sometimes he wears the darker shade"
A mirror of the love he’s made.

He eats what's normal, tasty, true,
Yet craves the flavors foreign too.
Not a foodie, but a chef at times,
Crafting meals like whispered rhymes.

His hair, he styles with quiet pride,
To look decent, handsome, dignified.
He likes sweets"though never knew
How much his heart would lean into.

He watches horror, laughs at jest,
And never misses football’s quest.
Cricket joins him now and then,
But basketball"his loyal friend.

He doesn’t chase each shiny ride,
But watches beauty pass with pride.
Not to flirt, not to stare,
Just hopes someone might be aware.

He tries to look hot, just a spark,
But rarely finds eyes in the dark.
No one loved him quite enough,
He waited long, the wait was tough.

He dreamed of her, though never seen,
Knew her face from some serene dream.
In the 2000s, young and shy,
He kissed her heart beneath the sky for the first time.

Navaratri fasting, sacred day,
Hormones stirred in quiet sway.
He kissed her left chest, seeking grace,
A longing deep he couldn’t place.

She was stunned"who touched her soul?
Never knew he played that role.
From then on, he held her tight,
In dreams that danced through every night.

Her grandmother sensed the flame,
Would wake her up, call out her name.
She’d hide beneath the blanket’s fold,
Afraid her secret might be told.

Even now, he brings her pain,
And pleasure too"a tender strain.
He knows just how to calm her storm,
To make her cry, then feel warm.

She tells her atthamma through tears,
“He’s hurting me again, my dear…”
But love, it sails through joy and ache,
A ship that trembles, yet won’t break.

To be continued…
