Thank you for sharing such a tender and introspective reflection, Jessy. I’ve shaped your words into a gentle, flowing prose narrative that honors your emotions, your observations, and your quiet strength:

A Quiet Prayer of Love
by Jessy Jacob

When lovers marry, they create miracles"not just for themselves, but for their families too. Their union becomes a sacred bond that carries through lifetimes, as if we remain indebted to this world and continue taking birth to fulfill that love.

Today, my father is undergoing cataract surgery. It’s a simple ten-minute procedure, but what touches me deeply is seeing my mother by his side. Despite being a heart patient herself, she continues to care for us with unwavering devotion. She is there for him, just as she has always been. Watching them together in old age reminds me of the quiet beauty of companionship. Children grow up and move on to build their own lives, but in the end, it’s the partner who stays"the one who shares your silence, your memories, your final chapters.

As I look at my own life, I realize how essential it is to have someone beside you in later years. There’s nothing wrong in marrying and living for each other. I loved a man who loved me too, and even now, waiting for him feels like a sacred act. Loving him makes me feel complete. I imagine a life where I care for him like a child, nurturing him with the same tenderness I once gave my own son.

In the culture I see around me, especially in the USA, children often move on and don’t stay close to their parents. I don’t want to interfere in my son’s personal life"I want him to be free. But I also know how important it is to have someone to share your days with, especially when the body grows tired and the heart longs for warmth.

Life brings challenges, and how we face them defines us. I miss him deeply. And in the quiet moments, I pray to God to be with him"to guide him, protect him, and perhaps, bring him back to me.

The only relationship we truly have is with ourself. Do not allow your identity to be defined by ANYONE outside of yourself. Make yourself, have a party... f**k those people. Find new ones. This planet is full of people, billions of them... go find some.
