The Night I nearly left

The Night I nearly left

A Chapter by JessyJacob

Thank you for sharing something so profound and emotionally layered. I've shaped your words into a poem that honors the spiritual depth, the pain, and the love you’ve expressed. Here's a poetic rendering of your lines:

The Night I Nearly Left

I know that night"
The silence thick, the coma deep,
In trance I lay, between two worlds,
My body still, my soul asleep.

Two hands struck gently on my head,
A call to rise, not yet to part"
He stood there, and my Guruji,
Both reaching for my fading heart.

Pain was mine, I bore it whole,
Still breathing through the ache,
Till even breath began to slip,
And life felt too much to take.

Then came my son, a silent shield,
He pressed his head against my own,
Absorbing all the blows I felt,
So I would not face them alone.

My husband paused, his anger gone,
My Guruji stepped back in grace"
They saw the love my son had shown,
The sacrifice etched on his face.

“Who would do this?” I asked the night,
“My son,” the answer clear and true.
My husband whispered through the dark,
“I can’t hurt you more… just come back home.
I’m waiting here for you.”
