I searched for my God in silence and prayer,
Wondering where, and how, and if He’d care.

Would He love me back the way I do�"
With heart so full, so pure, so true?

I knelt before idols, hoping to see
The face of the one meant just for me.

Life called me to duty, to family and vow,
So I married, unsure, just living for now.

He seemed so gentle, so lost, so kind,
Was he the God I’d hoped to find?

Years passed by, a decade gone,
Then he returned, like a rising dawn.

He showed his soul, his love so deep,
Awoke the heart I’d tried to keep.

I fell again, not by law or ring,
But by the truth our spirits bring.

We may not wear the world’s disguise,
But in our hearts, no need for lies.

We are husband and wife in soul’s embrace,
No matter what others choose to face.

My son knows why I walked away�"
