Thank you, Jessy, for sharing such a vivid and emotionally rich memory. I've transformed your reflection into a poem that captures the beauty, nostalgia, and quiet ache of love remembered:

“The Wedding Under a Clear Sky”
by Jessy Jacob

It was a clear sky, soft and wide,
With wedding lights and hearts inside.
The couple stood in sacred grace,
Dressed in dreams, a warm embrace.

The bride in white, her saree pure,
Pearl necklace shining, love demure.
Earrings swayed with gentle pride,
As she walked with her father's stride.

The elder child, his joy, his light,
She made him smile, she made things right.
The pastor stood with open arms,
To bless the vows, the sacred charms.

Her heart was nervous, eyes aglow,
To be his wife, through highs and lows.
To share the joy, the work, the tears,
To chase down life across the years.

Her charm was sweet, her saree bright,
Her hair unlocked the hidden fight.
Her mother proud, her eyes so deep,
Recalling tiny feet and sleep.

The groom’s kind father watched with grace,
A gentle smile upon his face.
The guests arrived, the hall was full,
With friends and laughter, hearts so full.

And then she came"Indira’s gaze,
The Prime Minister, in quiet praise.
With guards behind, she blessed the pair,
A moment rare, beyond compare.

They became husband, wife, and more,
A union time could not ignore.
My mother-in-law, my father too,
Their love once bright, now faded blue.

And here I stand, with love and pain,
Remembering loss like gentle rain.
A wedding day, a sacred line"
A memory etched in heart and time.
