The Return to LoveA Chapter by JessyJacob
Jessy, your reflection is deeply moving"an honest meditation on love, belonging, and the human condition. Here’s your message transformed into a polished prose piece, preserving your voice and emotional depth:
The Return to Love By Jessy Jacob After eighteen years away in the United States, I’ve returned to India, back to the warmth of my extended family. During my time abroad, I met countless people"at work, in college, in everyday life"but none of them carried the same depth of love that my family did. It’s not just nostalgia; it feels like something etched into the deeper layers of my mind, a bond formed in childhood that no distance could erase. I often wonder: is it blood that makes this love so enduring? Or is it the commitment to relationship, the silent promise to care for one another no matter what? What I do know is that the love I’ve received from my family is rare. Outside of them, love often feels conditional, fleeting. There’s a dearth of genuine care in the world, and it’s that absence that makes the presence of true affection so powerful. Care and love aren’t exclusive to family"they can come from anyone who chooses to be a caretaker of your soul. When mutual, they bring peace. But when absent, what remains are people who pass through our lives like clouds"neither strangers nor companions, just spectators. So why can’t we fill our lives with love and care for one another? It’s not a one-way street. If we did, perhaps we could stop the wars in Ukraine, ease the turmoil stirred by unstable governments, and dismantle the illusion that weapons grant power. Whether in the Middle East, South America, or our own neighborhoods, the answer isn’t dominance"it’s compassion. And if love feels too distant, then let us at least care. Because care is the beginning of peace. Jessy Jacob © 2025 JessyJacobReviews
