I am not a kid to play

I am not a kid to play

A Chapter by JessyJacob

Poem: Balancing Hearts

I lived a life of half my years,
Now middle age brings aches and fears.
Will I endure to eighty’s gate,
Or falter soon beneath life’s weight?

My heart is weeping, still undone,
For husband I wait, for my son too.
He lost me once in childhood’s haze,
Yet still he calls through silent days.

Responsibilities press me near,
Parents depend, their voices clear.
As eldest child, I bear the load,
My siblings promise wealth bestowed.

I stand between, yet torn apart,
A mother’s love, a daughter’s heart.
My son cries out, my parents plead,
Waiting for My husband, my soul must heed.

What step to take, what path to choose,
When every choice means love I lose?
My heart replies, with quiet grace,
Balance all, in time and space.

To be with all, to share, to give,
That is the way my soul must live.
Not one alone, but all I hold,
A story written, brave and bold.
