I know him as someone a little serious, yet more jovial than he realizes. A little harsh on the outside, but among the nicest at heart. He never hurts anyone unnecessarily, but when something is wrong, he points it out without fear. He believes he is less smart, yet he always chooses the best and then quietly wonders if he has done the right thing.

His tender heart hides behind a wide smile. His short temper is softened by his frankness. He speaks loudly and says whatever is on his mind, never hesitating, never pretending.

When I began to understand why he wants to take things lightly, I realized it is because he knows he cannot carry heavy burdens for long. Once he decides something, he does not listen to anyone else. It is hard to tell him when he is wrong, and even harder to ask him to stop. When I try, it hurts me more than him. He feels sad, but he does not regret�"he simply lets it go. I often wonder why he cannot understand what I am trying to say.

Yet making him happy is simple. All it takes is doing his things with care and listening to him. So I speak less and remain silent, hoping that one day he will understand on his own what I think of him and how deeply I feel.
