Oblate SpheroidA Poem by j.l. luna
they say Saturn takes almost thirty years
to orbit the sun sad that some don't live that long and die young decomposing in graves illuminated by fireflies who long for the sky and although they can fly their wings would fry should they try to reach that planetary wonder once I had a dream about the moon she called me up asked me to look after Neptune because she was so blue and kept asking about her father if he was someone I knew as it turns out she was blue in the mouth because she belonged in the sea with the god she was asking about a thousand miles above the ocean and you're still worried about the waves the treading is treacherous but I wasn't born to behave I may as well be a mermaid swimming in Saturn's electricity sleeping in a hydrogen blanket I'll dream up the greatest story higher than you'll ever know a dimension you cannot enter and as you scale the planet's gravity I'll be dancing in its center © 2014 j.l. lunaReviews
