Centers

Centers

A Poem by Natasha Montgomery

Quick!
Cover up that hole I just dug!
I can see the bones, and the bodies; some decayed, others fresh, while you ignore them.

Hide!
Let's pretend it doesn't exist!
Shallow existences and shallow graves.

I want to dig.
I want to dig all of the way down.
To the center, dark and warm.
A life so deep, I become lost in it.
